Dynamic mics are the most common type of microphone, used in basically all recording studios, broadcasts and stages. Thanks to their simple yet effective design, dynamic microphones are generally excellent at isolating external noises - although they may lack the detail and finesse of condensers, they make up for it with a focused sound that is less susceptible to feedback, making them a go-to choice for loud sound sources and also perfect for live sound. They’re also much less sensitive to vibrations than condensers, making them the perfect handheld type of microphone.
