GameSoundCon, the largest professional conference for video game music and sound design, returns this fall for both in-person and online attendees. The event will take place at the Marriott Burbank Convention Center in Burbank, CA, on October 28–29.
Following a record-breaking year in 2024 with over 1,100 attendees, organizers are optimistic about surpassing that milestone in 2025. With an unprecedented number of speaker submissions already in, expectations are high. Securing a speaking spot at GameSoundCon is a coveted achievement among composers, sound designers, and audio tech professionals. Speakers this year include industry leaders such as GRAMMY nominee Wilbert Roget II, Mason Lieberman, GRAMMY nominee Austin Wintory, Akash Thakkar, Peter McConnell, Nadia Wheaton, GRAMMY winner Gordy Haab, and Katherine Tole.
Attendees can also participate in three popular “Demo Derbies” focused on Music, Sound Design, and VO (Voice Over), where expert panelists provide live feedback on submitted work. A special Deep Dive session will highlight an upcoming major game release, with five in-depth talks exploring its music, sound design, and dialogue production.
Conference tracks will span a wide range of focus areas including: Music, Sound Design, Technology, Dialogue, Business & Career, Game Audio Education, Game Audio Studies, Game Audio Research, and VR.
In-person ticket prices remain unchanged for the seventh consecutive year. Early Bird pricing is available until September 1, offering significant discounts for both in-person and online attendees.
