Are you a music maker based in UK? IMSTA is happy to announce that IMSTA FESTA will return to the SAE Institute London on June 1, 2024, for another day of fun, learning, and networking. SAE Institute London will be co-hosting this exciting event, and we are grateful for that.

IMSTA FESTA London is a celebration of music technology that brings the music-making community and the music- technology companies together for one-on-one product demonstrations, music industry panels, masterclasses, song reviews, prizes and more.

As part of IMSTA's commitment to the London music community, we have invited A-list producers, engineers, and songwriters to deliver keynote and master classes for our visitors. These A-listers include Grammy-winning mix engineer and record producer Andrew Scheps, Grammy and Brit-nominated songwriter and producer Jake Gosling, Grammy-winning mix engineer James Auwarter, award-winning songwriter Jonny Amos, and others.

All music creators are welcome. This includes musicians, songwriters, producers, audio engineers, music students, and educators. There will be plenty of raffles and giveaways offered by exhibiting companies.

IMSTA FESTA is a celebration of music technology that brings manufacturers face-to-face with their product users. These consumer shows have something for all musicians, songwriters, producers, audio engineers, music students and educators in the industry. These events include software exhibits and master classes, music industry panels and master classes, as well as song reviews. Some events will also feature a song competition, and the regional winner will be entered into the Annual IMSTA Songwriting Competition, where the first-place winner will be awarded the Grand Prize—a remarkable collection of software packages valued at over $5000.

Casio Music launches the second edition of its popular singer-songwriter competition - Casio Sessions

Applications to Casio Sessions 2024 now open to UK-based, piano-playing singer-songwriters

Casio Music UK, one of the world’s most renowned producers of electronic keyboards and digital pianos, is thrilled to announce the return of Casio Sessions, its popular singer-songwriter competition for aspiring piano-playing musicians - with applications now open.

Building on the success of last year, Casio is excited to raise the bar even higher, giving a new group of talented individuals the chance to showcase their musical abilities for the chance to win an incredible prize; a Casio PX-S7000 piano, worth £2,249 plus an exclusive mastering studio session for their winning song, with the song then pressed to a limited run of vinyl records - courtesy of competition partner and physical music manufacturer Breed Media.

Casio is inviting piano-playing singer-songwriters from all around the UK to enter online by submitting a video of themselves playing an original composition - covers will not be considered. Twelve entrants will then be handpicked to compete in a live final at the stylish Ninety One Living Room jazz bar in Brick Lane, London, on Wednesday 4th September 2024.

Entries to Casio Sessions 2024 are open now until midnight on August 6th. Musicians must all be based in the UK, and entrants are required to submit an original video audition and complete a simple form via the Casio website to be considered for the live final – all ages and musical styles welcome. Audio Developer Conference 2024

ADC returns once again in 2024 as a combined in-person and online hybrid conference format

A big part of the conference experience is the live interaction between attendees. For ADC24, the live conference virtual experience will return using the Gather online platform paired with the in-person Bristol, UK conference running at the same time.

All ADC24 keynotes, panels, and talks will be available to all attendees. In-person sessions will be broadcast live to online attendees and online sessions will be broadcast into the venue.

This year’s Audio Developers Conference will bring back the ADC Workshops within the main conference schedule for both in-person and online attendees. The hybrid workshop format will ensure that these informative sessions can be attended by our community of developers, educators, and students all over the world.
