Drum Microphones are specially designed to capture drum sounds, usually made with sturdy capsules that can take louder hits. These microphones are often categorized into its group of instruments as large capsule dynamic microphones are used for low drums, small diaphragm condensers as overheads or percussion effects and medium sized dynamic microphones for toms and congas. Drum microphones can be sold in 4 to 8-piece kits in order to cover the full spectrum of a drum kit and many models are designed for clamp mounting.
