Synchronizers and clock generators are hardware units dedicated to synchronize different digital devices that once out of sync may present unpleasant digital artifacts and glitchy sounds. Many digital audio hardwares have their own clock that can be setup as master or slave in order to send or receive the clock's timecode. A Master Clock / Synchronizer device is usually part of larger digital audio environments and commonly available with a variety of digital output formats such as BNC, AES, RCA S/PDIF, Optical and so on.
