Description

BIM is a 12-bit stereo delay unit inspired by some studio delay processors built in the early 80s. These monophonic processors have been renowned for the quality and musicality of
their sound. The processing was mainly analog (companders, limiters, low-pass filters, feedback path,…), and the signal was converted to digital just for the delay section, using 12-bit AD/DA converters and some RAM memory chips.

The advantage of this technology is particularly obvious when the sound is feedbacked many times through the whole analog and 12-bit circuitry. You’ll hear a sweet degradation and dark damping that the 100% digital delay boxes can’t offer. When we designed BIM, we wanted to create a unique, modern and versatile effects processor based on this 80’s technology.

Features:
• 7 algorithms: Room, Hall, Plate, Ambient, Chorus, Non-Linear and Primitive
• Input gain up to +15 dB with analog clipping
• Pre Delay up to 500 ms (with the PRE DELAY pot) or 1500 ms (with the TAP switch)
• Continuous control of the reverb Size parameter for fine tuning
• Low-Cut Filter: 20 Hz, 80 Hz, 150 Hz, 250 Hz, 450 Hz
• Hi-Cut Filter: 1,8 kHz, 4,5 kHz, 7 kHz, 9 kHz, 15 kHz
• Chorus parameter can add modulation to the reverberator signal
• Tap Tempo assignable to Pre Delay or Reverb Time
• Freeze switch
• 36 user presets
• MIDI input: BAM responds to CCs and Pgm Change
• 3 bypass modes: Relay, Spillover and Aux

Let's talk delay - Outboard or Pedals only!

OTO BIM It does this lovely analog input stage into 12bit conversion. The freeze function, midi sync and CC control, playability and awesome sound quality make it my favourite delay ‘pedal’ ever

What is the sluttiest thing you have bought this year so far?

...one of the following --moog one or moog muse --some kind of cool new(ish, non 'vintage') outboard delay. Z-tec Binson, OTO machines BIM 12 bit, moog 500 series, Fulltone tape, one or two others, all have found my momentary obsession. --some kind of mandoguitar (vox, hammertone or similar) --4-string fender jazz bass (any era, but want block inlays...
