The Schrittmacher has 32 parameter lines which can be freely configured and linked with each other. Each line has 16 steps which can be edited using the 16 rotary encoders with integrated pushbuttons. Additional 28 pushbuttons allow the user easy processing of the sequences. The 240x128 pixel backlit display ensures that the user always has an overview over the current status of the sequences. By direct access to a number of parameters ideas can quickly and intuitively be translated into action at the studio as well as on stage. The possible connection of a master keyboard for controlling purposes (transposing, use of controllers) allows additional processing of the sequences and grooves.

...type stuff, but don't need the more explicitly algorithmic features of the aux events on the cirklon, try out the schrittmacher, and the signal arts tetramaps. The latter is rather a strange one, but in terms of its cv and midi interactivity, and ability to construct tracks that deviate greatly from 'beats', it is...
...to reduce the number of steps, at choice, in real time), as can be done with Doepfer Dark Time, Manikin Schrittmacher, Social Entropy Engine etc ? This is very important if we want a sequencing in the musical genre - Berlin School (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze) / sequencing based on real-time improvised steps, in an...
...boutique sequencers out there are in the same range or more expensive. I am thinking GRP R24, Koma Komplex, Manikin Schrittmacher. Moon Modular's M569 sequencer for 5U as well. These are generally smaller operations who are offering something niche and the price has to make sense for the numbers they can reasonably expect to...
