Small Supercardioid Condenser Microphone with K47-type Capsule.
...position, to my taste, is the best all-around, balanced voicing...this "V1" setting is somewhat reminiscent of the now discontinued KEL HM-7U which also employed a K47-type capsule, but the Warbler II also adds a 47-style output tranny which gives the mic a bit more sonic girth/weight (dare I say "mojo"?)...based on what I can...
...some say slower attack, faster release... well what is it then??? Btw the mic I used here is a KEL HM-7U. I am getting back a CM800T and I'll run some more tests. Curious if anyone has experiences with 1176/clones that can offer some words of advice on it's use.
I sent one to Revive. Not affiliated in any way, but highly recommend them going over it. It's not that expensive and I think you will find it a much more higher end sounding and quieter unit once they are through with it. L.
