I'm designing a playback rig. I was going to go with the PlayAUDIO12 but the PlayAUDIO1U came out. However, for the price, I can go with an RME interface which has MIDI and really good I/O options including MADI and ADAT usually. Can anyone with experience tell me the pros/cons of going with each??
It wouldn't be 1U because you'd need a switcher for redundancy, a radial SW8 if you're going analog or a directout EXBOX.BLDS if you're going MADI but those options are definitely a LOT more expensive than a Playaudio12
